Welcome to episode #12 of the Mark McNease Mysteries Podcast, Audio Mysteries and Fiction. Episode #12 continues my reading of Reservation for Murder: A Kyle Callahan Mystery, with chapters 33, 34, and 35.
Last week I read chapters 30, 31 and 32. Kyle allowed his obsession with Harold Summit's murder to get the best of his, especially now that the houseguests were expected to give statements to the police. Mysterious guest Joseph Garland remained a no-show, and houseman Justin admitted to Kyle that he'd been planning a tryst with Summit before someone put a bullet in him. Part II, A Friend in Need, saw Kyle realizing he needed help with his investigation, and that meant recruiting his friend, retired detective Linda Sikorsky. Gladys felt guilty, Justin felt trapped, and Scott's grief was tempered with the expectation of an inheritance.
