Welcome to episode #13 of the Mark McNease Mysteries Podcast, Audio Mysteries and Fiction. Episode #13 continues my reading of Reservation for Murder: A Kyle Callahan Mystery, with chapters 36, 37, and 38.
In last week's episode, Kyle teamed with his friend, retired detective Linda Sikorsky, to find out more about their mysterious house guest, Joseph Garland. The elderly gentleman had said little to anyone except that he'd planned to have dinner with an old friend his first night in town.
Kyle made excuses to enter his guest's room (he may need help, he may be ill), and was soon shocked when Patty rushed in to tell them Garland had been found dead. Two murders, two house guests! Kyle quickly made copies of a day planner Garland had on his nightstand, and soon he called the late Joseph Garland's friend to arrange a conversation.
